Sarah Jessica Parker Biography 2012

Sarah Jessica Parker was born March 25, 1965, in Nelsonville, Ohio, to parents Stephen Parker and Barbra Forste (who remarried Paul Forste after divorcing Sarah's father). After her mother wed Forste, she had four more children, bringing the total to eight. Sarah Jessica now had 3 full siblings and 4 half siblings. Trained in singing and ballet, Sarah was cast in the Broadway production of "The Innocents", which prompted her family to relocate to New Jersey. Already a professional performer (she studied at the American Ballet School and the Professional Children's School), Sarah was cast in "The Sound of Music" (along with four of her siblings), and landed the lead in the Broadway run of "Annie". After a year as the free-spirited orphan, Sarah attended Dwight Morrow High School, while continuing to add more credits to her acting resume. She landed a role in the made-for-TV movie My Body, My Child (1982) (TV), before being cast as one of the lead roles in the 1982 sitcom "Square Pegs" (1982), as high-schooler Patty Green. Once a graduate, Sarah decided to pursue a full-time acting career rather than further her education. Since "Square Pegs" (1982) didn't last more than a year, Sarah moved on to supporting film roles in movies such as Footloose (1984), Firstborn (1984), and the lead role in the teenage film Girls Just Want to Have Fun (1985). Sarah was having lots of fun, although she had yet to land a star-turning role. After more television appearances in series and made-for-TV movies including "A Year in the Life" (1986), "Hallmark Hall of Fame: The Room Upstairs (#36.2)" (1987) and Dadah Is Death (1988) (TV), Sarah finally landed the role of Steve Martin's bubbly lover in the 1991 comedy L.A. Story (1991). More substantial film roles soon followed, starting with a role opposite Nicolas Cage in Honeymoon in Vegas (1992) (which foreshadowed her comedic talent), Hocus Pocus (1993) and Ed Wood (1994). A big Woody Allen fan, she starred opposite the renowned filmmaker in the TV movie The Sunshine Boys (1996) (TV), and that same year, she landed a starring role in Miami Rhapsody (1995). 1996 was a film intensive year with roles in The First Wives Club (1996), If Lucy Fell (1996), and Mars Attacks! (1996). All the while making a name for herself in film, Sarah was gaining respect as a theater actress, with her lead role as a dog (hard to imagine, but true) in the off-Broadway "Sylvia," and her Broadway roles in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" (starring her present husband, Matthew Broderick), and the Tony-Award nominated "Once Upon a Mattress." But Sarah's star has shot up since her portrayal of Manhattan sex-columnist Carrie Bradshaw in the HBO series "Sex and the City" (1998). Sarah's Golden Globe Best Actress victory in 2000 only underscores the fact that she plays the role of Carrie as though it were literally written for her. Sarah has been happily married to fellow actor Matthew Broderick for quite a while now. Before the marriage, she dated Robert Downey Jr. (who she also lived with), and the late John Kennedy Jr. When not serving as lead actress and producer of "Sex and the City" (1998), Sarah is a member of Hollywood's Women's Political Committee, and is UNICEF's representative for the Performing Arts.

Sandra Bullock Biography 2012

Date of Birth: July 26, 1964

Sandra is the perfectly perky girl-next door with a heart of gold or a spine of steel, depending on the role. The actress who made our hearts race with Speed (1994) has proven herself to be equally at ease with fluffy comedies, human dramas, and cartoony actioners—making her one of the most popular stars in Hollywood.

The former high school cheerleader (voted "Most Likely To Brighten Up Your Day" by classmates) made her first TV appearances in made-for-television flicks likeThe Preppie Murders and Bionic Showdown: The Six Million Dollar Man And The Bionic Woman. She also starred as Tess in the TV version of Working Girl (Remember? Probably not).

After a small role in the comedy Love Potion No. 9 (1991), Sandra hit the big-time in 1993 when she replaced Lori Petty as Sylvester Stallone's love interest in Demolition Man (1993).She also held her own opposite scenery-chewing Richard Harris in the gentle comedy Wrestling Ernest Hemingway (1993).

Speed (1994) put Sandra on the Hollywood fasttrack. Audiences—and Keanu Reeves' cop character—fell in love with the spunky girl with a suspended driver's license. Her stature in Hollywood was solidified when she starred in the hit romantic comedy, While You Were Sleeping (1995). The success of the film made it clear that Bullock could carry a movie on her shoulders and that people wanted to see her quirky, lovable personality. The movie grossed over $81 million domestically and earned Bullock her first Golden Globe nomination.

Two years later Sandra commanded a hefty $12.5 million paycheck to bring back Annie in Speed 2: Cruise Control (1997)—an amount the producers are still hoping the film will gross. She returned to what she does best with the comedy Miss Congeniality (2000), earning a second Golden Globe nomination as well as an American Comedy Award for Funniest Actress in a Motion Picture and a Blockbuster Entertainment Award for Favorite Actress—Comedy. She has also won two People's Choice Awards for Favorite Motion Picture Actress, in 1997 and in 1999.

She reteamed with Reeves for The Lake House (2006), a romantic drama. She won her first Academy Award award and First Golden Globe for her portrayal of Leigh Anne Tuohy in the touching drama The Blind Side (2009), based on a true life story.

On the personal side, in 2005 she married Jesse James, the much tatooed host of the TV show Monster Garage.

Salma Hayek Biography 2012

Salma Hayek  Born on September 2, 1966 in Coatzacoalcos, Veracruz, Mexico. Raised in a well-to-do Catholic home, Hayek is the daughter of a Spanish mother and Lebanese father. She attended a convent school in Louisiana at the age of 12 and lived with her aunt in Houston, Texas during her teens. After a brief stint at a university in Mexico City, she dropped out to pursue a career in acting, eventually becoming a soap star in her native Mexico.

In 1991, the ambitious Hayek moved to Los Angeles, determined to improve her English and become a Hollywood actress. After small gigs, she landed a role opposite Antonio Banderas in 1995’s Desperado. The success of the film garnered her work in relatively lackluster movies, including the teen thriller The Faculty, 1999’s Wild Wild West and 1997’s Fools Rush In. Subsequently, Hayek became engaged with smaller, independent pictures and started her own production company, Ventanarosa.

Hayek’s increasingly intellectual and passionate approach to filmmaking culminated in her dream role in 2002’s Frida, in which she both produced and starred. The film was nominated for six Academy Awards, including a Best Actress nomination for Hayek, who was the first Latin actress to be nominated in the category.

Large-scale projects followed the success of Frida, including directing 2002’s The Maldonado Miracle, starring in the final episode of the Desperado trilogy, Once Upon a Time in Mexico, and appearing in the heist thriller "After The Sunset" with Pierce Brosnan.

Emmy-winner and Oscar nominee Salma Hayek is executive producer of the hit television series Ugly Betty which is based on the Colombian telenovela "Yo Soy Betty La Fea." The show premiered on ABC in September 2006 and won a Golden Globe for Best Comedy in 2007.

In March 2007, Salma's publicist confirmed that the actress was engaged to billionaire Francois Pinault's son, Henri and that the couple is expecting their first child together. This will be Hayek's first child, Henri is already a father of two. Salma Hayek previously dated several actors, including Edward Norton, Edward Atterton and Richard Crenna, Jr.
